Еxpert conference titled: “What is happening with freedom of expression and media freedoms in the Republic of Macedonia?" took place in Skopje on 20th February 2013. The event was organized by Progres Institute for Social Democracy and Friedrich Ebert Foundation - Office Skopje, in cooperation with the Olof Palme Center and the Association of Journalists of Macedonia.
To this event were invited all relevant NGO organizations and professional associations, media and individual experts in the relevant field.
Panelists in the first session were Mr. Dragan Sekuloski, executive director of the association of journalists, Ms. Biljana Petkovska, director of the Macedonian Institute for Media and Mr. Dragan Antonovski vice president of the independent trade union of journalists and media workers. Chairman of the session was Mr. Besim Nebiu representative of the association of journalists. In the second session panelists were Mrs. Margarita Caca Nikolovska, judge in the Constitutional Court in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Agim Miftari, former Supreme Court judge and Mr. Filip Medarski, lawyer. Chairman of this session was Mr. Dane Taleski, executive director of Progres Institute.
