At the public discussion organized by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung-Skopje office, held today (02.09.2016) the beginning of the project "Building Social Cohesion From the 'Ground-Up': The Day After" was announced.
"The Day After" is a modest contribution of the Ebert Foundation to the development and support of the socially-cohesive society and support of progressive activities in the Republic of Macedonia.
How to implement "The Day After"? By collaborating with organizations and individuals who, through an inclusive approach, will formulate a set of specific demands for improving the conditions in the social, socio-economic and political fields.
Only through close cooperation between civil society organizations, experts profession and academia we will be able to offer solutions that will be accepted by the political parties.
The coordinators of the subgroups will prepare specific demands aimed at the potential political decision-makers and will require them to commit with their signature for the implementation of the said demands.
The preparation of the sets of demands for each of the subgroups and the signing of the commitment for their implementation by the political parties is the first stage of "The Day After" - the groups will be involved in the process of creation/modification of the legal frameworks for these demands (second stage) and the monitoring framework with which civil society will follow the implementation will be the third phase of "The Day After".
